Taylors coaches are a familiar sight on the roads around Somerset and beyond. Established in the 1960s we initially operated from Townsend Garage at Tintinhull beside the A303, before later moving to separate premises in Yeovil.

Over the years we have developed and experienced many different aspects of coach work, from work contracts, service work, school transport and private hire as well as operating our own excursions and holidays.

Since 2000 we have returned to our core values and now concentrate on further development and improvement in two main fields of activity - coach hire and providing school transport. Our constant goal is to maintain a quality service at affordable prices.
Our coach fleet has been carefully chosen to provide customers with a wide choice – there should be one to suit most needs, varying in seating capacities and facilities available on board, such as DVD players, toilets, and climate control.

Uniformed professional drivers complete the efficient service, getting you to your destination via pre-planned routes and detailed instructions.

School transport is often regarded as the bottom end of the coach market, yet Taylors have made a concerted effort, working with Somerset and Dorset County Councils, to raise the standards of school transport, with a special emphasis on childrens’ safety.  Modern purpose-built vehicles have three point seat belts and CCTV systems to monitor all pupils while in transit.

There is also an environmental benefit in that most of our vehicles are large capacity, seating up to 68 pupils, thereby reducing the number of vehicles on the road and supporting overall reduction in carbon emissions.

Since the introduction of our larger capacity vehicles we have found them in huge demand for educational trips. These can typically enable two year groups and adult assistants to visit various museums, the coast, theatres and so on in one trip.
