Organising
a trip
If you organise events regularly, then you will know how
to go about planning, coordinating and arranging your trip.
If you don’t, then it can be a daunting task. At Taylors
Coach Travel we aim to make things as easy as possible for
you and therefore list below a simple step-by-step organiser’s
guide.
Choose
your destination.
It may be an event you have always wanted to see, a place
you have always wanted to go, or perhaps a conference or
exhibition you would like to attend. For some it’s
a birthday treat, a weekend away or even a holiday –
but don’t get stuck for ideas, just give us a call
if you would like suggestions on where to visit.
How
many are going? An important factor when
organising any event. The number of people involved with
have a bearing on cost, venues, catering and accommodation
– plus determine the size of coach you will need.
If you don’t know exactly how many are going to book,
don’t worry, we can easily change things to suit,
provided it’s not too close to the date of the event.
Place
of departure.
Where will you be leaving from? If it’s more than
one point, no problem. We are happy to collect from a variety
of locations, but please bear in mind that the amount of
mileage and time has an effect on how much we have to charge
for the coach.
Time
schedule.
By knowing what time you wish to arrive at your chosen venue,
we will be happy to calculate a journey plan to ensure you
get there on time. From there, we can advise you when the
coach should depart. Similarly, if you tell us what time
you would like to get back home, we can work out when you
will have to leave the venue.
And
that’s it! If you can provide us with
information from the points detailed above, then we can
work out how much your coach is going to cost. You can then
split that into a cost per head – and even allow yourself
an organiser’s fee, if you wish. Please take into
account that you may not sell all the seats on the coach,
so it pays to factor this in to your calculations.
We
will also be pleased to help you arrange tickets, meals
and accommodation. Being a tour operator we can often buy
at preferential group rates. However, this is often subject
to a reasonable period of notice. |
